Is She Weird?

Well, we were all tagged and I never ignore a tag! So, weird/interesting/random things about me? Ummmmm:

1. I love Pantera. (That's not weird. It's supposed to be random, ok?)

2. I was PreMed my first couple of years of college until I realized that 1) Organic Chem is the Anti-Christ and 2) I didn't want to have to be in school for so long and end up a lame-ass who wears mom pants because instead of having a fun life, I was inside studying. (Not that all doctors are lame-asses, I'm really drawing from personal experiences here. No, *I* never wore mom pants, but I know someone who is my age, a doctor, and wears the dreaded 9-inch zipper.)

3. I was runner-up in my county's tennis tournament when I was 16. I was runner-up because on the day of the final I lost all ability to hit a backhand.

4. I had a larger-than-life crush on the bass player of a band where I used to live. The crush completely dissipated once I heard him talk;)

5. I have never seen Star Wars, Lord Of The Rings, or Spaceballs.

Anything weird or random that's directly related to this blog is probably something I have already told you. Plus, you don't only want to hear about (lack of) dating, right?

You've never seen Star Wars? I don't think I'll be reading you anymore.

Ar-jew-tino- OKay okay, I probably saw it when I was really young, but I don't remember it at all. Please stay.

OK, no Lord of the Rings? What is that? Return of the King was the only deserivng winner of Best Picture in years!

Come hang out with me and I will educate you on DC's lovely antique cinemas and movies in general.

Tonight's movie is Chinatown.

Chuckles- I fear I am going to lose friends, but I have not seen Chinatown either. It's not that I don't want to see these movies, I just haven't. Before Netflix, I couldn't ever rent movies bc I am unable to return them on time and then it ends up costing a fortune. So I'm slowly seeing the things I should be seeing. But a film mentor sounds nice:)

I was pre-med too all throughout undergrad. I excelled in O-Chem. Actually it was the one class I loved the most, but I faint at the sight of blood. It took me 4 years to figure that out! Slow, I tell you ;)

DC Vita-Orgo made me want to shoot myself and others. I hate chemistry in all forms. I loved anatomy and stuff like that, although my favorite class was Entomology. I never had a problem with blood, but I definitely made the right decision to go another route.

I'm with you on #2- I was pre-law my first two years. I decided to just minor in business law and major in business management. Very happy I made that decision.

Oh, and I've never seen Lord of the Rings or Spaceballs.

I've never seen any of those movies either.

I've seen Spaceballs. . .but no Lord of the Rings, Titanic, or Sleepless in Seattle. Heck, not even Gone with the Wind. Pathetic? Perhaps. But that's me.

I wanted to be a lawyer ('cause I can argue like nobody's business), but I ended up in Banking (where I still have to argue).

Any good movie premiering this weekend?

i'd lend you spaceballs and the LOTR trilogy if you lived local...hell you could borrow all my dvd's
although you'd probably turn your nose up at the wrestling ones

pantera as in the cowboys from hell? interesting

Sheesh, I watch movies. I watch A LOT of movies, I even OWN a lot of them. I just haven't watched crappy sci-fi movies I'm pretty sure I won't like.

I was an engineer for undergrad, but it included all the pre-med courses. Now i'm in my second year of medical school and I still find the time to hit the gym, date and enjoy the party scene. Who really needs sleep?

Not seeing those movies isn't too odd, but admitting it on the internet, this bastion of sci-fi and fantasy nerdom, is like holding raw meat near wolves. Geeks will be flocking to this post far and wide to “educate you.” Not that I’m calling ar-jew-tino a geek or anything.

PX- Same thing;)

Roxy- I'm not big on studying. I sort of hate it.

Across The River- I'm all about being educated:)

Nothing kills a crush faster than hearing them talk. I used to pick hot guys to function as imaginary boyfriends in all my classes in college as incentive for me to go. It was always great, until they raised their hands and opened their mouths and ruined it.

would hearing me speak put you off i wonder?

I love metal! I love most everything.

I watched about 5 minutes of LOTR and made NotRoger change it to Back To The Future. And then we made out. It was a lot better than LOTR.
