I’m not Dead…yet

Okay, it's the holidays. You've filled up on turkey and you're blazing your way through the mall, and while all of this is going on the ladies of No Sex are taking it easy and leaving you hanging…okay not really, but I'll speak for myself. I've been dealing with a few health issues and they've made me less than inclined to post about anything, least of all my sex life that isn't so sexy right now. So a few more weeks and I'm getting back in the saddle, so to speak.

But before that, I want to talk about death. Pretty somber topic for a blog with pink as the main color. It's just that recently, I've been seeing more and more things in pop culture that point to death and dying or more importantly, what to do before you die. Places to see, things to do, meals to have; there seem to be endless lists upon lists and now there are even movies about it.

What's wrong with living in the now? Why do we need to think about being dead before we even contemplate what we could be doing while living?

you probably want to avoid those commercials for the new movie about two men who i assume have terminal diseases, or are portraying what hollywood thinks is very old age [it stars jack nicholson and morgan freeman], and are travelling the world doing things that they want to do before they die.
geez.
carpe diem, halleluia.
and carpe nighttime while youre at it ;)

it's just so sad how people talk about the 10 places to go b4 you die, things to do b4 you die, everything is before you die. i'm gonna die soon... tomorrow, next month, next year. i dont know.
what am i gonna do?
spend all my money going here and there?
write a book?
plant a tree?
get pregnant and become a mother coz that's what people do before they die???
Nope.
I dont think so.
You always see things you HAVE to do before you die. Why don't they make a list of things you SHOULDNT DO while being alive?
Just a thought.
Hope your health is ok and everything goes well with you this holiday season!
Merry Merry...

i agree..there is no time like the present! And some people think they have all the time in the world to do whatever they want..but reality is, we don't know how long we have for anything! So why wait to do something or try something new or to say something that we've always wanted to say? Let's get on with it!!
