Crush Update.
NotTaylor was off the radar before I was off his location-wise which occurred last week when our paths stopped crossing. It was before that, though, that I got sick of the same ol' conversation we were having. It never moved past the annoying flirting/teasing banter and I think it is more his innability to converse than our lack of compatability past potentially "getting pens" in the supply closet.
I had a minicrush on someone from my weekend job, but it didn't last long, especially after he started dating a coworker. I like to think I could have gotten him had I been around him in time to try. It's probably for the best he started dating someone else because when the idea entered my head, I was already pretty sure it would, at most, be a fling type thing.
Anyone else? FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THERE IS NOT! What is up with the serious lack of potentials out there? I look to fall to be a new start of sorts. With the cooler weather comes my wanting to be outside A LOT more. Maybe I'll run into some new guys at a pumpkin patch or a corn maize or maybe when I'm sitting outside of a coffee shop sipping hot apple cider. Yum!

Sorry about your lack of crushes.. but suddenly I want to be in NY this fall... in some pumpkin patch or at the Sterling Forest RenFaire drinking hot apple cider. I concur.. that IS yum!
Yes...those are fun places to meet new guys! Apple cider does sound good too.
I think it's smart you realized it's probably for the best that you move on. It's his loss he didn't pursue anything with you...and he's definitely not worth your time since he's ended up dating someone else.
Yeah, it's not good to dillydally in the netherworld of "is you is or is you ain't my baby??".
I say keep your eyes perked up for the next bestest best orange crush to walk by. I don't care what anyone says--DC may be a hard place to meet people, but I still see lots of cuties all around...
=-)
(Hope that didn't sound too corny!! haha. ;-) )
as you know, rcb has re-emerged on the scene. since the attention has started to be paid to me, i have begun noticing that there are a lot more cute boys out there...
i mean, i go months and months with nothing. an old hottie comes back on the scene and shows interest and all of a sudden there are hotties in every meeting i attend and every where else i go. and they flirt, too.
i think it's because you gain some confidence with the initial attention, which makes you more open to see the other potential out there. when you're cynical (as i usually am) it throws off your karma.
so just look, act, and know you're hot. the boys will come out of the woodwork.
I've been short on crushes myself, but maybe that's because I've been spending too much of my free time watching episodes of the Sopranos on DVD. :-P
I have such a hankering for apple cider.
Jordan- Today when I walked outside after work I almost shrieked bc the temperature had dropped so much. It MADE my day! I love fall.
Beth- Yeah, I briefly entertained the idea of flirting with him anyway, but I definitely don't want to be "that girl" and I knew it would only have been for fun anyway, and that's not fair.
Ryane- I agree...I definitely see them out there!
RD- Oh man, I do walk around knowing I'm hott;)
BC- HAHAH, ME, TOOOOO!!!! I just finished Season 1. I kinda have a crush on Tony. hehehe
Myboyfriendiscrazy- I agree. I LOVE hot apple cider.
Chuckles- YUM, me too. Starbucks caramel apple cider, omg.
You always seem to find them when you aren't looking!!!
Awesome, because I'm not looking right now! Actually, that's another blog topic...
i feel ya... there is a serious lack of potentials here as well.
Awww.. there's someone else. Someone *better*.
Somewhere.
I'd almost forgotten the getting pens line - still makes me giggle!
;)
Sometimes you meet people in weird spots. Like cabs. I met this one woman while splitting a cab ride who said that she was sorry she was moving to San Francisco the next day. What a liar. I met another on the way to the Black cat who sold luxury hand bags in Georgetown and we talked about selling expensive stuff to people. I met another recently who I might actually see again, if hell ever freezes over.
NY in the fall sounds wonderful. There will definitely be TONS of new crush-worthy options coming your way... I'm sure of it.
They all creep back out of the woodworks when the summer is over. Or is it from under their rocks? ;-)
