No Type

After NotCharlotte's most recent post about the types of guys she is attracted to, I couldn't help but think about it myself. Part of me just wanted to take the opportunity to post pictures of celebrities I find incredibly hott, but then I realized that while I do find them attractive, there hasn't really been a trend in my own (lack of) love life concerning looks. In fact, I've sort of been all over the place and can't think of any common feature except that they've all been taller than me. I can't Katie Holmes it just yet with a mate who is several inches shorter than I am. I guess I'm still carrying around some senstivity from elementary school when I was only shorter than maybe one or two of the guys.

Note: I am not that tall now. I feel the need to clarify this. I was taller than other kids my age when younger, but that's because those stupid boys were taking forever to hit puberty.

So...a type? Do I have a type? Part of me thinks I maybe don't have a type right now because the dating pool has been dried up as of late. Beggers can't be choosers. Wait...that's a horrible saying for this blog! I'm not begging for anything. I'm just hoping for a little fun:) (Soon!)

sometimes you have to get rid of 'types', and that's when you find someone good. speaking from experience here...

I'm not sure if I've ever had a physical 'type'. Usually I'm just drawn more towards guys who are funny and like music. Oh, and as a friend termed it, he has to pass the media test (more on this later maybe.)

Yeah...I'm not sure if I have enough options to be picky.

Where are the options? Sheesh!

NotCarrie...I agree with you.. options are slim these days. Is it me or did college seem to create way more options and situtations. Getting older has it perks and setbacks.

Perhaps it is because I am male (and thus my perspective is reversed), but there seem to be an awful lot of women out there to choose among.

[I realize this sounds very arrogant], but I don't ever have trouble finding a woman to date. Perhaps dating life is just easier for men.

Yeah, I was taller than most everyone until 7th grade. All downhill from there.

I would never, ever, ever date a less than 6 inches taller than me - let alone shorter than me! Ack!

Take a look at mine....someone I wasn't attracted to right away and now I can't get him out of my head. But we went up that friends path cause I didn't think I was attracted to him, and now I'm just kicking myself. Basically I wouldn't say now that I have a type, just that they need to possess certain qualities.

P.S. Thank you for your comments ;)

he has to pass the media test? haha! i love that term. i think that may be true for me too.

i claim that i have a type. but maybe it's more that i have a preference on what i find attractive. then again some of the guys i've been most into have been physically rather different from each other. they were all funny and musical though. so maybe that's the non physical type i have.

"Katie Holmes it" - best verb of the day.

My favorite type is Garamond Boldface. It's available at the click of a button...unlike most guys I know.

Heh.

I just want someone to hold the door open for me and tell me I'm pretty.

And being a good kisser helps.

I had to drop the statement to myself and to friends, 'he's not really my type' b/c of the lack of options. Once I dropped that expectation (or at least, once I said it enough), I found myself more attracted to different kinds of men.

Once again, the slim pickins also helps in that arena!
