Celebrity Skin

I think I have a type. Whether I like it or not, I seem to be attracted to the same type of men... Celebrity lookalikes.

Fall of 2004: There was a new guy that started at the bookstore that I was instantly attracted to. Maybe it was his dark-rimmed glasses or the fact that he was getting his MFA in Poetry, but I don't think so. It was because he looked like Ben Gibbard.
The resemblance was uncanny, though I didn't put two and two together until he had found Steadier Footing at a different job. I still occasionally see him on campus and I just smile at the thought of him bouncing around the stage to Sound of Settling.

Winter of 2004: Again, at the bookstore. We got a winter hire that I had never seen before, but he looked so familiar. It wasn't until I had a few conversations with him about both music and comics that I realized he was my Seth Cohen.
This resemblance again was uncanny. So bad that I even went and found a magazine with a picture of darling Adam Brody in it to show this fine young character. Unfortunately, my findings were unoriginal and he soon left our happy bookstore family to pursue calmer waters.

Spring of 2006: Guess where this one happened? You guessed it... the bookstore. NotElvis, whom I know you guys have heard me talk about.
His NotName does justice to his appearance. He bears a striking resemblance to Elvis, pre-fat years. I never told him this and in fact, I don't think I ever will. We still chat on occasion, but I rarely see him, so unfortunately it's "out of sight, out of mind" in the case of my peanut butter and banana sandwich loving compadre.

My new and current attraction is also a celebirty lookalike, however I'm not quite ready yet to divulge anything about him. I do ask the Nots to please respect my wishes and not reveal his identity... for now. ;-)

So in conclusion:
1. I am attracted to hott men, obviously.
2. I tend to like dark hair and height.
3. They must work or have worked at a bookstore.
4. Musical tastes are important to me.
5. If you wear glasses, it's an added bonus.

Actually, there's a small part of Adam Brody that reminds me of this guy I used to be friends with. I don't know if he has a not name, but he wanted me and I rejected him many times. Anyway, somethingn about Adam Brody reminds me of him and I hate that:(

So, where exactly is this bookstore? I'm camping out. :)

Do I qualify?

So I saw Ben Gibbard, then when I got to the bottom and saw that you said you "obviously like hot men," I spit out my coffee laughing. I think you may owe me a new keyboard.

A friend of one of my exes once got it on with Adam Brody while they were doing a play in New York. As the story goes, while she was ... um, how do I put this demurely, sucking him off, he said, "Goooooood girl." A year after hearing that story, I can't not think about that every time I watch that show. Yikes.

I always go for two types: Matthew Perry and Edward Norton.

Musicians often appear hotter because they're musicians. I wouldn't give most of them a second look if I saw them on the street, but put them with a guitar and I'm in!

I used to have a thing for bass players. Not that I sought them out, but I realized that a few in a row played it.

Beavis, it's a combination of scruffiness, dark rimmed glasses, and a guitar that makes him hot.
Put him in a blazer and I cream my pants.

I don't think I'll ever think of Adam Brody in the same light again...

Johnny: do you have hammer pants? If so, then no. Hell, if not, the answer's still no. :-)

Motion for nobody to ever say "cream their pants" again for the rest of time! (It's nothing personal, Not Charlotte). Ewwww!

Amen, Senior Beavis! I was seriously grossed out.

Well you can also say that you are attracted to guys with a geek image (other than the elvis anomaly).

I dont go for look-alikes per se but i often play the game where i ask a girl i am with who she thinks she resembles the most in hollywood.

All sounds good. Bonus points for glasses (but usually a certain type of glasses, of course). Couldn't agree more.

I don't know who this 'Adam Brody' fellow is, but I'm currently chatting up an *Adrian Brody* lookalike. He even has the nose and everything!

Also, you know you have bad taste when you pursue a man who resembles Jack Black, except thin. Eeek!

I can see that my creamy statement will haunt me for awhile.

I will have you know that yesterday I had entirely too much caffiene. Ask any of the Nots, they saw me in rare form last night.

Violet- What about Jack Black in his upcoming movie, "The Holiday"? He doesn't look THAT bad... I mean, he could be wearing a jumpsuit and singing the song "Pick of Destinyyyyyyy"
Actually, that's not a bad thing. I <3 Jack Black. I'd go to his School of Rock any day. (NOT meant in a sexual way. This man is MARRIED!)

I definitely have a type.. I love brown hair and blue eyes..square chins and a dimple, lean and tall (at least 6ft)... great smile/white teeth and smarts. I love smarts.
This will turn my head everytime .. and a good cologne helps too.

notcharlotte, I'm with you all the way with the glasses and guitar. Throw in some scruffy, long-ish hair and I'm sold, mmm...

if you can't have the real thing - why not go for a look-alike.
